Maciej’s practice focus covers all aspects of CRE deals for acquisition and sale of office, warehouse, industrial, and retail assets. He gained his experience working on projects involving joint ventures or co-investments. Maciej’s professional interests also include forward funding and forward purchase projects involving negotiation of  development management agreements.

Maciej deals with negotiation of program and portfolio agreements for creating, acquiring, or divestment of real estate asset platforms, and also advises on build-to-suit (BTS) development projects. His professional focus is also on commercial real estate financing issues, in the form of mezzanine, project, bridge,  participatory, and also private debt financing, real estate acquisition for commercial development, both greenfield and brownfield, or for instance sale & leaseback deals. He also provides day-to-day assistance with property development projects and management of already operational commercial facilities.

For the last few years, Maciej has been creating and has headed the real estate team at a major Polish law firm.

Maciej is continuously recognized as a recommended lawyer in The Legal 500 EMEA 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019 rankings in real estate category.

  • Advising on negotiation and conclusion of agreements of a value exceeding EUR 700 m in the last three years, including for Ghelamco, Skanska, 7R, Peakside Capital, Segro, PZU TFI, H&M, Rohlig Suus, Panattoni, Exeter Property Group, Origami Capital Partners, Ipopema, Credit Value Investments, Grupa Boryszew, Vantage Development, BNP Paribas, mBank, Santander Bank Polska, Grupa Vox, Pekabex, Naspers, Żabka Polska, Real Management, Pekabex, Aldesa Polska, and Auto Partner;
  • Advising on purchase of a real estate portfolio comprising more than 300 hypermarkets / shopping malls in Poland, worth in total more than EUR 400 m;
  • Advising on purchase of a portfolio of six shopping malls located throughout Poland, worth in total more than EUR 70 m;
  • Advising on sale of an office development in Kraków of a leasable area of approximately 25 000 m2;
  • Advising on sales of BTS warehouse real estate portfolios, worth in total more than EUR 100 m;
  • Advising on acquisition of a portfolio of eight industrial properties in Poland, worth more than EUR 60 m;
  • Advising on negotiation of BTS leases of a total GLA of more than 500 000 m2;
  • Advising on more than a dozen joint venture deals concerning construction, commercialization, and sale of warehouse facilities for a top warehouse space developer;
  • Advising on several dozen purchase and sale deals for real estate earmarked for development as logistics parks and office and retail facilities.
